Q&A: Cutters Point Coffee Co • Gig Harbor, WA

Just over 20 years ago, Gig Harbor got a sip of what would become its favorite pick-me-up. Today, Cutters Point serves high-quality, artisan-roasted coffee at 12 locations…including their newest, right here inside Main & Vine.

We recently sat down with Brooke, owner of Cutters Point, to talk about their history, their mission and why they’re excited to be part of our fresh adventure.

How did Cutters Point get its start and name?

In 1995, I stopped by Austin Chase Coffee – a small espresso bar in town – to get a cup of coffee. I left with an offer to purchase the business! Several years later, we changed our name to pay homage to the explorers who navigated Puget Sound in their cutter boats, ultimately discovering Point Fosdick.

What makes Cutters Point unique?

To us, it’s not just a cup of coffee… it’s a way to make a positive difference in the lives of our guests. Our goal every day is to make their lives a little better.

You also serve fresh baked goods from Alki Bakery…give us a few of your favorite pairings.

Our Classic Drip Coffee paired with a “world famous” Cinnamon Roll is amazing! Or, try a Raspberry White Chocolate Coconut Muffin with our Caramel Macchiato...so good. And you can’t go wrong with a Double Tall White Chocolate Mocha and a scone.

They all sound delicious! What’s your favorite drink to make?

My daughter, who was 11 at the time, helped me create our famous Lemon Bar Smoothie. It’s the perfect blend of sweet and tart…really makes you pucker!

Why are you excited to be part of Main & Vine?

We love this community, and we’re proud to call it home. So being part of something that shares our passion is the perfect marriage. Such a great story and great people! Makes us even more excited to welcome them to our family. Be sure to grab a cup of Gig Harbor’s favorite at the Wine, Beer & Coffee Bar today.

Thanks for talking with us!
