Make this eye-catching and delicious centerpiece as an alternative to a traditional antipasto platter.

  • 1 Styrofoam cone
  • 1 bunch green leaf lettuce
  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • 3 cups assorted olives and marinated or pickled vegetables
  • 8 oz salami, sliced or cut into pieces
  • 4 oz. cocktail shrimp
  • 8 oz. fresh mozzarella pearls
  • 1 pint grape tomatoes, cut in half
  • 1 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 2 Tbsp. Italian dressing
  • Toothpicks

  1. Spread cream cheese on the base of the Styrofoam cone and secure on a serving plate. Starting at the bottom and working up in layers, use toothpicks to place leaf lettuce over the cone to form the tree.
  2. Decorate the tree with olives, vegetables, salami, shrimp, cheese and tomatoes.
  3. Add red pepper flakes to dressing, and brush over entire tree. Serve. Refrigerate leftovers.

Styrofoam cones can be purchased at craft stores. The olive bar is a great place to get a variety of olives and vegetables to decorate the tree.
