As the air turns cooler, the classic summer shandy transitions to fresh pressed apple cider for inspiration of the season and welcomes a warming kiss of ginger and spices


  • 2 tsp. Ginger People ginger juice or finely grated fresh ginger root
  • ½ tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • 12 oz. apple cider, fresh pressed
  • 12 oz. Oktoberfest beer or your favorite local ale
  • 2 thin slices apple for garnish, if desired


  1. Chill two pint glasses and place 1 teaspoon ginger juice in each glass. Sprinkle each with pumpkin pie spice.
  2. Pour 6 ounces of apple cider over the ginger juice in each glass.
  3. Divide the beer between the two glasses and garnish with an additional sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice and a slice of apple if desired.
