Broccoli and cheese baked together into a perfectly snackable veggie tot. Using potato flakes instead of breadcrumbs keeps these tots gluten-free.


  • 12 oz. frozen broccoli florets, thawed and finely chopped
  • ¼ cup yellow onion, shredded
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup potato flakes
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder


  1. Heat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl mix together all ingredients. Form tots with a generous tablespoon of the mixture; place on prepared baking sheet. Bake 20-25 minutes; flipping halfway through, until browned. Refrigerate leftovers.


To use fresh broccoli, steam until tender and shock in ice water to stop the cooking before finely chopping.
