Description

Spruce up your sprouts by sautéing in butter and adding dried cherries, hazelnuts and a touch of lemon zest.

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • ¼ cup shallots, sliced
  • 20 oz. shaved Brussels sprouts
  • ½ tsp. Kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp. ground black pepper
  • ½ cup dried cherries, roughly chopped
  • ½ cup toasted hazelnuts, roughly chopped
  • 1 tsp. lemon zest

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a 12” skillet over medium heat. Add Brussels sprouts, shallots, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally until tender-crisp and edges start to brown.
  2. Remove from heat. Add cherries, hazelnuts and lemon zest; toss to combine. Refrigerate leftovers.

Tips

If you can’t find already shaved Brussels sprouts at the store, cut them thinly with a knife or use the slicing blade on a food processor.
