Try fusion at its finest with this grilled burger infused with the flavors of Korean BBQ and finished with quick spicy kimchi.

    2 cups Napa Cabbage, shredded
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • ½ tbsp Kosher Salt
  • 1 tbsp Red Pepper Flakes, crushed
  • 1 tsp Fish Sauce
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • ½ tsp Minced Garlic

    1 ½ lbs Simple Truth Ground Beef
  • ¼ cup Chopped Green Onions
  • burger

    2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Grated Ginger
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 4 Hamburger Buns, toasted
  • ½ cup Kimchi


  1. For Kimchi, toss cabbage with sugar and salt. Let stand for about 5 minutes; rinse under cold water. Pat dry.
  2. Mix together pepper flakes, fish sauce, sugar, sesame oil and garlic. Toss with cabbage; set aside.
  3. For burger, heat gas grill to medium-high heat or heat charcoal until ashes are white.
  4. In a bowl mix ground beef, green onion, brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger, sesame oil and garlic until just blended. Divide into 4 patties.
  5. Grill burgers 6-8 minutes, flip and continue cooking 5-7 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. To assemble burger place burger patty bottom bun; top with 2 tablespoons kimchi and top half of bun. Refrigerate leftovers.
