This quick and easy candy features the traditional colors of Mardi Gras.


  • 5 oz. (about 60) saltine crackers
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • 1 ½ cups butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • Purple, gold and green colored sugar or sprinkles


  1. Heat oven to 400°F. Line a 11”x17”x1”baking sheet with foil and butter or spray. Spread crackers in a single layer covering pan completely; set aside.
  2. Combine sugar and butter in a medium sauce pan over medium heat. Stirring constantly, bring to a full boil and continue cooking 4 minutes. Remove from heat, add vanilla. Immediately pour over crackers and spread to cover completely.
  3. Bake 10 minutes. Top with chips; allow to stand 2-3 minutes. Carefully spread melted chips; top with colored sugars or sprinkles. Refrigerate to cool completely; break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.
