Description

Bring out the flavor of flank steak with a simple and delicious spice-based marinade.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground coriander seed
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 ½ pounds flank steak
  • 1 lemon

Directions

  1. In a bowl, blend spices together. Add olive oil, mix well. Rub on both sides of steak. Place steak in a rectangular glass pan and marinate overnight.
  2. Heat a ridged grill pan to medium high heat. Cook 4-5 minutes per side until cooked to 140° F. Let rest for 10 minutes. Slice across the grain into thick slices. Squeeze lemon juice over the top.

Tips

For a tasty side, use leftover marinade to flavor and grill bell peppers!
